Solé Hall-Hamilton
A little about me...
Hello there! My name is Solé Hall-Hamilton (they/she) and I hope to become an English Language Arts Educator. In between now and then, I’m currently receiving my education from Baldwin Wallace University where I’m an active participant on campus. Before Baldwin Wallace University, I was a student in Prince William County in Northern Virginia where my high school education was focused on the art of creative writing and the Virginia Learning Standards.
Like every other English Educator, I’m absolutely in love with books, reading, and writing. I’m reading Pachinko by MinJin Lee at the moment. When I’m not reading, I spend my time writing poetry or finding ways to be involved in the poetry world in Northern Ohio. Somewhere between that, I spend my time acting as a freelance editor for a little bit of fun!
Teaching Philosophy
There are three main components to my teaching philosophy which I classify as Accessibility, Inclusivity, and Growth. Each of these components feeds into what I consider the most important parts of being an educator in any kind of district. My teaching overall is student-centered and with that, each student will have different needs within the lesson or overall classroom. I strive to provide as much as I can in terms of their understanding, 504s, IEPs, and digital resources.
